Korean haul (part 1)

Hey!

Late again, I know, but here's what I brought back from my trip to Seoul. I'm planning on reviewing some of the items here so, just let me know which ones you're interested in and I'll review them for you.

Food and drinks
Pinenut Wallnuts Job's Tears Tea
Green Flake Tea by Osulloc
Choco Chou Cream. I took these to my office and they were gone in the blink of an eye. The chocolate filling went all the way from the head to the tail and the brioche was soft and fluffy.
Ppeppero (strawberry flavor)
Water & Lemon Vitamin, Water & Pomegranate Vitamine, Water & Diet
Garlic Bread

Hair
Mise en scène - Hello Bubble Foam Color in #7N Mocha Latte Brown
Etude House - Bubble Hair Coloring in #7 Mocha Pink

Forest Story - Perfect Setting Spray and 100% Pure Argan Oil Spray

Makeup and nails
Etude House - Fresh Cherry Tint in color PK001
Inisfree - Creamy Tint lipstick in color 5
Etude House - xoxo Minnie nail polish in burgundry
Iope - Air Cushion XP (C21)
A'Pieu -Aurora Luminous CC Cream (CB01)

Stationery

I love stationery items and they were quite affordable in Korea.
The pink pens with the pompoms are Etude House's. They gave them out with every purchase.

Clothes and accessories
"Hairy" knitted clothes and accessories seemed to be in vogue because they were everywhere and, since I have a soft spot for soft, fluffy things, I had to get some of those lovely items. Besides, they were so cheap and cute... how could I resist them? I bought the bag because the one I took with me on this trip was falling into pieces, literally.

Best of 2013

Hello everyone and Happy 2014!

I know I'm a little late with this post, but I just wanted to share with you my best moments, products, clothes... of 2013

Craziest thing I’ve done in 2013: Travel to Seoul to go to K.Will’s Christmas Concert (I had been wanting to go to Seoul for a long time, but the concert is what actually pulled the trigger ;>)

Best moments of 2013:
All the traveling. Some of it was for bussiness, some for pleasure. Regardless of the reason for those trips, I had a lot of fun in every single one of them.

Best Skincare/Makeup of 2013: Those are the products I liked or used the most in 2013. Though I bought a lot of skincare and some makeup items when I was in Seoul this Christmas, I haven’t opened/used the vast majority of them. Therefore, I cannot rate them yet.

The Body Shop's Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing ButterI just love this stuff. I have been using this product since August and I’m almost half way through my second tin. It removes makeup wonderfully and cleans my skin at the same time without leaving a tight or oily feeling afterwards.

Sephora’s face cleansing “brush”. Perfect for an everyday mild exfoliation and massage. To be used in conjunction with your cleanser.

The Face Shop's Aqua UV Color Control Cream. Once I learned how to apply it properly to achieve that no makeup make up look (I spray my face with a face mist before applying this CC cream with the sponge in a patting motion) this has been my favorite CC cream of the two CC creams I tried this year. It’s got a medium coverage that’s buildable to a medium-high coverage.

Essence's Gel tint. Non-sticky jelly-textured lip and cheek stain that does not dry out your lips. The pigmentation is very decent and the color lasts for hours. You can also use this on your eyelids. I got them in color 03 flashy apricot and 04 pink exposed.

Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter. Color, lip balm and gloss all in one product. The shade I bought (008 Hugh Me) goes well with any look and it looks quite  flattening on me. It has never left my purse since I got it.

Shara Shara's I Wanna Eyebrow Cake. I bought this while I was in Seoul. I got color number 2 Soft Brown. This powder is waterproof, it does not smudge, stays on for hours and it looks very natural. You can mix both colors for the perfect color match.

Best Clothes/accessories of 2013: These items might not have been bought in 2013 but they are the ones I wore the most last year.
Little black bag. I bought this bag for a wedding four years ago. I started wearing it regularly in 2012 but I have been wearing it almost non-stop in 2013. It was also the bag I carried almost every time I traveled. Unfortunately, it started peeling off like a lizard while I was in Seoul so, even though I loved it, it was time to say goodbye.

Platform sneakers. Sooo comfortable! I bought them in spring time and I don’t regret it!

Best drink of 2013

Gold Kili Matcha Ginger Latte. This is soo adictive... It's a matcha powder drink with a touch of ginger. It's become my favourite relaxing afternoon and weekend drink. I drink this once or twice a week.

Dunkin' Donuts Hot Sweet Potato Latte. I tasted this while I was in Seoul and I liked it so much that I decided to include it as one of the best drinks I discovered in 2013. I drank as many as I could because I knew I would not find this back home. T_T

Miscelaneous:

Lékué cooking case. I got this as a present for my birthday. It was a special edition box that came with a cooking book and a spatula. Cooking made easy, fast, clean and healthy.

And those were my favourite things of 2013. What were yours?
Please let me know if you are interested in any of this products and want me to review it for you.

Take care!

Most used + favourite products from April to June 2013

¡Hi, there!

I haven't been buying a lot of stuff lately cause I was saving for the sales and the holidays so, here's the stuff I have been using the most, and I'm still using, during the last three months.

SKINCARE

Mizon's Snail Recovery Gel Cream
I have been using this mostly as a night pack over my moisturizer, because, being a gel, it is not moisturizing enough for my dry skin.
I get a pimple here and there occasionally at that time of the month, and I can say this does not dry out the pimples. However, it helps reduce the redness. It also helps with the healing of wounds: I tested it on a blister that caused a wound on my ankle when it burst a couple of days ago and I can say the wound is healing faster than usually.

Mizon's Correct Combo Cream
This is my first CC cream and I love it. It comes in a tube with a pump and the product comes out white, but it matches my skintone almost immediately after being applied to my face. It is moisturizing, very light weight, it has SPF 35 and it evens out my skin tone. The coverage is very sheer (for what I've heard and red, this is common to nearly all CC creams) so, you still need to apply concealer or foundation/BB cream to cover any bemishes you migh have. I'm hopping to be able to write a complete review of this product soon.

MAKEUP

Essence's Gel Tint, color #03 flashy apricot
I bought this product because I wanted an orange color for my lips. Favoring tints over lipsticks or lipglosses like I do, I chose this gel tint and OMG, I love it! I like the applicator, I love the texture, it does not dry out my lips, it stays on for a very long time and it doesn't leave any stain in my tea mug. The only downside to me is the flavor, if you happen to taste it (which is not always the case): it’s a bitter artificial flavor. But I liked it so much that I also got it in color #04 pink exposed, and I’m seriously considering getting the third color (a red tint) once I finish my Benetint.
I apply this gel tint to my lips, my cheeks and, occasionally, I also apply it to my eyelids for an extra pop of color. I don’t use it every day, but I use it pretty often on my lips and cheeks and I haven’t experienced any breakouts on my cheeks.
I'm hopping to be able to write a complete review of this product soon, too.

Essence's Eyebrow designer, color #02 brown & #04 blonde
I was using color 02 in the winter, because I dyed my hair expresso brown. But now that I'm progressively getting back my dark/medium blonde hair color, color 02 is too dark for me so, I went ahead and bought color 04 because it is a very affordable brow pencil, and the wax in it keeps the hairs in place. The downside: it needs to be sharpened every now and then.

Sephora's Jumbo liner 12HR wear, color # 05 beige
I’ve had this for quite a long time. I use it on my lower lash to brighten up the eyes and hide the redness that comes with spring allergies. I have sometimes used it as a highlighter down my eyebrow bone and on my cheek bones, but the color is a tad too pink to work as such on my yellow undertoned skin. This jumbo pencil is waterproof and can also be used as an eyeshadow.

Essence's Long lasting eye pencil, color # 02 hot chocolate (dark brown), 15 bling bling (bronze) & 05 c'est la vie (silver)
These have a great staying power, are pretty cheap and don't need to be sharpened (which is a ++ for me). You can also play with them as eyeshadows if you blend them with your finger right after you apply them. if you wait too long to blend them, they will be already settled and you'll just be rubbing them off.
The ones I've been using the most are 02 and 05.

FOOD

Konimi's Tempura Seaweed
These things are delicious! They don't taste like nori at first, they taste like soft barbacue snacks (they taste exactly like Matutano's Bocabits) at first, then you can taste the nori and then it ends with a spicy taste. I like this better than the garlic seasoned roasted seaweed.

And that's all for now.
♥See you soon!♥
