My January and February 2014 favourites

Hey there!

I can't believe we're already in March! I feel like these last three months have gone by so fast. Anyways, here are my favourite products of January and February 2014.

Geek pyjamas

I bought this one at Primark back in November 2013. It costed 8€, it's warm and super comfy and that's why I have been favouring this one over my other two pyjamas.

Grey bag with colorful flowers

I bought this bag in Seoul because my beloved little black bag (featured in my best of 2013 post) was falling into pieces, and I have been wearing it a lot. It is just the right size for me and the pattern and colours match with most of my outfits.

Christmas tea blend

It is delicious. It tastes of chocolate and caramel, and also leaves the soft flavour of hibiscus swirling around your tonge when you swallow it.
I also like adding a cloud of milk for a creamier texture.

Nestlé's Strawberry Cheesecake chocolate bar

Every piece is just a small bite of strawberry cheesecake covered in chocolate. Since I discovered it, it has been a staple in my fridge for those days of the month when I'm just so happy to have been born a female.

Tumbler mug

I had been wanting to have a tumbler for a long time. Why? I cannot say. I just wanted to have one. And one day I found this lovely and cute one at Primark for 2,5 € and I just had to take it home with me. It keeps my drinks hot for longer, which I appreciate a lot now that's winter and I like to snuggle up in my coach with a hot tea warming my hands and my body.

Love decoration sign

Another thing that I wanted for a long time was one of those letter signs. I found this one at Primark for 5€. It was a little bit different from the ones I had seen, with the letter "o" being a heart with some bling bling going on. I feel this adds a chic and luxurious touch to my dinning room.

Air Wick Freshmatic Max - Touch of Luxury

This just smells sooo gooood! It has essential oils and the smell lingers in the air for a long time. It's sweet, but not overwhelming.

And that's all for now!
What were your favourite items from January and February 2014?

Hey!

Late again, I know, but here's what I brought back from my trip to Seoul. I'm planning on reviewing some of the items here so, just let me know which ones you're interested in and I'll review them for you.

Food and drinks
Pinenut Wallnuts Job's Tears Tea
Green Flake Tea by Osulloc
Choco Chou Cream. I took these to my office and they were gone in the blink of an eye. The chocolate filling went all the way from the head to the tail and the brioche was soft and fluffy.
Ppeppero (strawberry flavor)
Water & Lemon Vitamin, Water & Pomegranate Vitamine, Water & Diet
Garlic Bread

Hair
Mise en scène - Hello Bubble Foam Color in #7N Mocha Latte Brown
Etude House - Bubble Hair Coloring in #7 Mocha Pink

Forest Story - Perfect Setting Spray and 100% Pure Argan Oil Spray

Makeup and nails
Etude House - Fresh Cherry Tint in color PK001

Etude House - xoxo Minnie nail polish in burgundry
Iope - Air Cushion XP (C21)
A'Pieu -Aurora Luminous CC Cream (CB01)

Stationery

I love stationery items and they were quite affordable in Korea.
The pink pens with the pompoms are Etude House's. They gave them out with every purchase.

Clothes and accessories
"Hairy" knitted clothes and accessories seemed to be in vogue because they were everywhere and, since I have a soft spot for soft, fluffy things, I had to get some of those lovely items. Besides, they were so cheap and cute... how could I resist them? I bought the bag because the one I took with me on this trip was falling into pieces, literally.

Best of 2013

Hello everyone and Happy 2014!

I know I'm a little late with this post, but I just wanted to share with you my best moments, products, clothes... of 2013

Craziest thing I’ve done in 2013: Travel to Seoul to go to K.Will’s Christmas Concert (I had been wanting to go to Seoul for a long time, but the concert is what actually pulled the trigger ;>)

Best moments of 2013:
All the traveling. Some of it was for bussiness, some for pleasure. Regardless of the reason for those trips, I had a lot of fun in every single one of them.

Best Skincare/Makeup of 2013: Those are the products I liked or used the most in 2013. Though I bought a lot of skincare and some makeup items when I was in Seoul this Christmas, I haven’t opened/used the vast majority of them. Therefore, I cannot rate them yet.

The Body Shop's Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing ButterI just love this stuff. I have been using this product since August and I’m almost half way through my second tin. It removes makeup wonderfully and cleans my skin at the same time without leaving a tight or oily feeling afterwards.

Sephora’s face cleansing “brush”. Perfect for an everyday mild exfoliation and massage. To be used in conjunction with your cleanser.

The Face Shop's Aqua UV Color Control Cream. Once I learned how to apply it properly to achieve that no makeup make up look (I spray my face with a face mist before applying this CC cream with the sponge in a patting motion) this has been my favorite CC cream of the two CC creams I tried this year. It’s got a medium coverage that’s buildable to a medium-high coverage.

Essence's Gel tint. Non-sticky jelly-textured lip and cheek stain that does not dry out your lips. The pigmentation is very decent and the color lasts for hours. You can also use this on your eyelids. I got them in color 03 flashy apricot and 04 pink exposed.

Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter. Color, lip balm and gloss all in one product. The shade I bought (008 Hugh Me) goes well with any look and it looks quite  flattening on me. It has never left my purse since I got it.

Shara Shara's I Wanna Eyebrow Cake. I bought this while I was in Seoul. I got color number 2 Soft Brown. This powder is waterproof, it does not smudge, stays on for hours and it looks very natural. You can mix both colors for the perfect color match.

Best Clothes/accessories of 2013: These items might not have been bought in 2013 but they are the ones I wore the most last year.
Little black bag. I bought this bag for a wedding four years ago. I started wearing it regularly in 2012 but I have been wearing it almost non-stop in 2013. It was also the bag I carried almost every time I traveled. Unfortunately, it started peeling off like a lizard while I was in Seoul so, even though I loved it, it was time to say goodbye.

Platform sneakers. Sooo comfortable! I bought them in spring time and I don’t regret it!

Best drink of 2013

Gold Kili Matcha Ginger Latte. This is soo adictive... It's a matcha powder drink with a touch of ginger. It's become my favourite relaxing afternoon and weekend drink. I drink this once or twice a week.

Dunkin' Donuts Hot Sweet Potato Latte. I tasted this while I was in Seoul and I liked it so much that I decided to include it as one of the best drinks I discovered in 2013. I drank as many as I could because I knew I would not find this back home. T_T

Miscelaneous:

Lékué cooking case. I got this as a present for my birthday. It was a special edition box that came with a cooking book and a spatula. Cooking made easy, fast, clean and healthy.

And those were my favourite things of 2013. What were yours?
Please let me know if you are interested in any of this products and want me to review it for you.

Take care!

Turning 36

Yeap! Today's my B-Day and I'm turning 36! And I love cute things more and more everyday, I keep obsessing over K-pop and I still wear shorts (not really short shorts because I've never been a fan of those) and tank tops without a bra.

Though everyone says I look younger (everyone thinks I look under 27 and in the USA no one thinks I'm older than 21), I have noticed some changes in me during this last year that kind of worry me because they mean I'm getting older!

The first of those changes are the white hairs. I already had some but this last year, the white hairs have kind of invaded my head. I have lots now and I cannot stand them. I cannot colour my hair every four weeks, I need to wait to at least for 6 weeks or my scalp will get really irritated so when I start noticing some white highlights in the roots on the fourth week after I colured my hair, I try to comb my hair in a way that those white hairs are not noticeable while waiting for two more weeks to go by, till I can color my hair again.

The second change I noticed while looking at some pictures from last year was that I get some wrinkles arround my eyes when I smile. I never used any eye cream, in fact, I never believed in them: they have the same ingredients as some face creams and they cost double for a miserable quantity. But I come to thinking that I might need to use some type of cream for my eye area other than my moisturizer. I have also been investigating on the net and I think I might try face yoga: it's free (there are lots of videos with exercices in Youtube) and, who knows, it might work...

And the third change is my arms. I've never been very sporty myself but this last year I have started doing a bit of exercise but only directed to the zone bellow my belly, and now I regret I didn't pay more attention to my arms, for they feel kind of jell-o, if you know what I mean. So, I will have to include some exercises to tone my arms this year.

Why does it take quite an effort to mantain yourself when you get older?

Anyways, here's the sentence that was on the label of my tea this morning: "Experience you cannot learn".
And I have a lot of things to try and experience ;>

♥Take care and see you soon!♥

PS: I will be posting pictures from my trip to Venice in my next post so, stay tunned!

Beauty favourites of July and August 2013

¡Hi, there!

Better late than never, that's what they say. And here I am- back with some beauty favourites from July and August.

In no particular order:

1. UniqOne - All In One Hair Treatment. 150ml

It detangles my mane, tames the frizz, leaves my hair soft and it does not weigh my hair down. I don't know how much it costs because it was a gift from a friend, but I think it's about 14 or 15€.

2. Detangling & Shampoo Brush
I got it because of its cute heart shape. It only costed 1,50€ at Primark. And I love it! It detangles without pulling the hair and my hair lasts clean for longer if I massage my scalp with this brush when shampooing.

3. L'Orèal Paris - Skin perfection. 3 in 1Purifying Micellar Solution 200ml

It takes away even the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup and lip tint without tugging. Just wet a cotton pad with the solution, place it on the eyelids and lashes or the lips for 5 seconds and gently slide the pad away. To take the rest of your makeup off, simply swipe the cotton pad in soft circular motions across your face. It does not irritate my eyes, it's not sticky and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. In fact, my skin feels clean and refreshed after using this product to take my makeup off.
It costed 6 € at the drugstore and it lasted me for nearly three months.
If there's one thing they need to improve, it would be the packaging: I hate my cotton pad touching the surface of the bottle. I just don't think that's the most hygienic thing in the world. And then, after you pour the sollution into the pad, the whole surface of the bottle is wet so, there goes a bit of product, unused, everytime.

4. Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter

A 3 in 1 lip product. I don't dare using this on my cheeks, like I do with most of my lip products, because it's too creamy and shiny, but I just love it on my lips. It hydrates my lips and gives them a touch of color with a glossy finnish. I carry it on my bag ever since I bought it and I have been using it almost everyday. Besides, I find that the shade I got (008 Hug Me) compliments my natural lip color and goes basically with everything. Click here if you want to see my review on the hour on this product.

And, that would be all for now from my side. What about you? Have you tried any of those products? What did you think of them? What products made it to your August favourites?

See you in my next post. ♥Take care!♥

Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter: whole day review (more or less)

¡Hello, there!

I was at the drugstore the other day and saw those 3 in 1 lip products that color your lips with a glossy finnish while moisturizing them. I chose color 008 Hug Me and added it to my shopping cart.

Price: 9,75 €
Quantity: (nowhere to be found)
Shelf life: 30 months after opening
Ingredients: see picture below

So, let's see how long do the shine, color and moisture last.

Diary:

9h45: First application.

Nude lips and lips with lipcolor butter freshly applied.

First impression: Really esay to apply. It glides on wonderfully, it's very moisturizing and it doesn't feel sticky.

10h45: It leaves a residue on the glass, but the color, the moisture and mostly all the shine stay on the lips.

12h45: After a mid morning snack and a couple glasses of water, there's no stain on the glass, the shine is gone, there's just a bit of colour remaining on the lips but they still feel mosturized.

14h15: The lips start to feel in need of some moisture.

15h00: After having lunch and drinking more water, there's a small stain in the paper napking, no color left on the lips and the lips feel no longer moisturized (they don't feel dry either). Time to apply the lipbutter again!

Veredict:  It does what it says. It's a three in one product that adds color to your lips with a glossy finnish while moisturizing them without a sticky feeling. The shine is lost after the second glass of water, the color lasts for quite a while and the moisturizing sensation lasts for almost 5 hours as they say on the packaging.
Will I repurchase this? Most likely, in another color of course, but I still have quite a lot of lip products to finnish before I even consider buying another one of these lipbutters.

What about you? Have you tried those lipbutters? Did you like them? Would you repurchase them?

♥Until next time!♥
